Sign #10: You feel bored or lacking motivation.

Feeling bored or lacking motivation is a significant sign that you may be ready for a change.

When you find yourself disinterested or unengaged in your daily activities, it’s a clear indication that something is amiss.

This can be caused when your current routine, job, or lifestyle no longer excites or challenges you, leaving you craving for more meaning, pleasure or excitement.

Where in your life are you bored?  When do you feel unmotivated? Is it at work, in your relationships, your morning, afternoon or evening routines, your weekends?  Are you bored with your current hobbies?  What about the people you’re hanging out with… do they motivate and inspire you?  Are they doing exciting things or trying something new in their lives?

It might be time to consider whether you’ve outgrown your current situation or if it no longer supports the kind of life you want to live.  Are there any activities that used to bring you joy and motivation in the past that you could reintegrate into your life?

It’s a perfect time to try new things, as well.  Is there anything going on in your community over the summer that you’d like to try, experience or attend?

Have you gone over your goals and plans for the future, lately?  If not, here’s a great opportunity to reassess what you want to do, be, feel or experience in your life.

Surround yourself with positive, fun and like-minded people who are doing things, going somewhere with their lives, who share your interests.  Give up the ‘same old, same old’ routine.  Change it up!  If you’re around people who are motivated and inspiring, it will rub off on you.

Remember, feeling bored or lacking motivation is a signal that it’s time for change. Embrace it as an opportunity for growth, self-discovery, and a chance to design a life that sets you on fire with enthusiasm.  Be proactive and intentional by putting some thought and planning into your day or your week.

Don’t wait for others to inspire you or make plans…make it your mission to get some excitement back in your life!

Cheers,

Penney
