Penney Murphy Therapist Counsellor Anxiety Stress Burnout Overwhelm Wellbeing Saskatoon SK penney murphy & associates boutique counselling and wellbeing clinic

Penney Murphy
Registered Social Worker
Welcoming New Clients

Offers exciting & creative Wellbeing Workshops

Hi, I'm Penney...

If you’re the one who holds everything together, keeps everyone else going, and somehow still expects yourself to do more — I see you.

I work with busy professionals, high achievers, and women & men who appear to be managing on the outside while quietly carrying stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout on the inside. You may be successful, capable, and dependable… yet still feel depleted, stuck, or like life has become more about getting through the days than truly enjoying them.

My passion is helping you feel calmer, stronger, clearer, and more like yourself again — while creating a life that doesn’t just look good from the outside, but feels good to live.

I’m a Registered Social Worker and the founder of Penney Murphy & Associates.

More About Penney

I created Penney Murphy & Associates from a simple belief: there is a meaningful difference between getting through life and living well.

Too many people are functioning, coping, pushing through, and checking every box — while feeling exhausted, disconnected, and quietly unhappy. I wanted to create something different: a boutique counselling and wellbeing clinic where expert care meets warmth, beauty, and genuine support. A place where healing, growth, and personal wellbeing are taken seriously.

My own work is practical, empowering, and results-focused. I love helping clients understand what’s happening beneath the surface, while giving them tools that create real change in everyday life.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), nervous system regulation techniques, strengths-based and solution-focused approaches, along with positive psychology frameworks such as PERMA and Life Compass Therapy.

Together, we work on calming stress, changing unhelpful patterns, building confidence, strengthening resilience, and creating a life that feels lighter, richer, and more aligned with who you are now.

I also love creating customized resources for clients to use between sessions — because growth doesn’t only happen in the therapy room. Every client receives thoughtful take-home support, and yes… a small gift after each session to encourage self-care, relaxation, and wellbeing 💙

My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling hopeful, equipped, and excited about what’s possible.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety that won’t shut off, anger that shows up faster than you’d like, or relationship patterns that keep repeating, we’ll break things down into something that finally makes sense.

    Welcoming New Clients
for afternnoon. evening & Saturday appointments

    Hi, I'm Vanessa...

If you’ve been through something heavy — trauma, abuse, addiction, or experiences that still feel like they’re sitting just under the surface — you don’t have to carry it alone anymore.

I work with adults and teens who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex life experiences, helping them move from surviving to feeling more steady, grounded, and in control of their lives again. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, we’ll take it one step at a time — in a way that feels manageable and real.

I’m a Registered Social Worker and an internationally certified EMDR therapist, specializing in trauma-focused care. My approach is strengths-based, honest, and anything but cookie-cutter — because your story, your experiences, and your healing deserve something far more personalized than that.

    More About Vanessa

A big part of my work focuses on helping clients process and heal from trauma — including experiences of abuse, intergenerational trauma, and the lasting impact of difficult or overwhelming life events.

Using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we work to gently reprocess experiences that may still feel stuck, helping your nervous system settle and allowing you to move forward without those experiences holding the same weight they once did.

I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, identity, and major life challenges — including those connected to culture, spirituality, and lived experience. My work is grounded in respect, inclusivity, and meeting you exactly where you are.

You can expect a space that feels real, supportive, and non-judgmental — where you don’t have to filter your thoughts or experiences. Together, we focus on building resilience, emotional stability, and a stronger sense of self.

    Hi, I'm Garry...

When relationships become strained — whether that’s within your partnership, your family, or even across generations — it can start to affect everything. Communication breaks down, tension builds, and it can feel hard to know how to move forward.

I work with adults, couples, and teens to help bring clarity, calm, and direction to complex relationship dynamics. Whether you’re navigating conflict in your relationship, challenges with a teen, or strain within your family, my goal is to help you better understand what’s happening and find a way forward that feels steady and manageable.

With over 35 years of experience, I bring a grounded, practical approach to therapy — helping you cut through the noise, focus on what matters, and create meaningful, lasting change.

    More About Garry

I also support individuals dealing with anxiety, panic, depression, and life stress, helping them develop practical tools to feel more in control and better equipped to handle challenges as they arise.

I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor, I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and the emotional weight that can come with relationships, parenting, and major life changes. Hi, I'm Leeann...

Sometimes what you’re carrying isn’t just from today — it’s layered, complex, and shaped by experiences, relationships, and moments that have stayed with you over time. When that weight starts to show up as anxiety, anger, disconnection, or emotional pain, it can feel difficult to find your footing.

I work with adults, children, and teens to support healing at a deeper level — helping you process what you’ve been through, understand yourself more fully, and build a stronger, more grounded sense of who you are. Whether you’re navigating trauma, identity, life transitions, or family stress, my focus is on helping you move forward in a way that feels steady, supported, and meaningful.

I integrate experiential therapies such as Somatic Experiencing, Narrative Therapy, and EMDR-related approaches to support the processing of trauma, stress, and emotional pain. This allows us to work not only with thoughts, but also with how experiences are held in the body and nervous system.

I support individuals working through trauma, intergenerational experiences, grief, identity exploration, and major life transitions — including perimenopause and menopause. I also work with children and teens navigating emotional regulation, peer relationships, and family challenges.

In addition, I bring a strong focus to workplace dynamics, supporting clients in navigating difficult relationships, ethical challenges, leadership roles, and performance-related stress.

    Hi, I'm Greg...

When alcohol, substances, smoking, or unhealthy coping patterns begin to affect your life, relationships, or sense of self, it can feel difficult to know where to turn. You may be tired of promises to change, frustrated by setbacks, or wondering if lasting change is really possible.

    It is.

I work with adults and teens who are ready to create a healthier future — whether that means reducing use, pursuing recovery, stopping smoking, or addressing the emotional challenges that often come alongside addiction.
I also support family members who are impacted by a loved one’s substance use and need guidance, clarity, and support of their own.

My focus is helping you move forward with dignity, practical strategies, and real hope for what comes next.

    More About Greg

Change is rarely about willpower alone. Most addictive patterns develop for a reason — often as a way to cope with stress, pain, trauma, loneliness, or emotional distress.

My approach is compassionate, straightforward, and focused on progress rather than perfection. Together, we look at what’s driving the behaviour, what’s keeping it going, and what needs to shift in order for lasting change to happen.

I support clients dealing with alcohol and substance use, smoking cessation, relapse cycles, motivation struggles, and mental health concerns connected to addiction. I also work with people who simply know something in their life needs to change and want support making that happen.

For family members and loved ones, I provide a space to better understand addiction, strengthen boundaries, and navigate the impact it can have on relationships.

My goal is to help you build momentum, confidence, and a future that feels stronger, freer, and more aligned with the life you want.
