Description
The Art of Feeling Alive: Perfectly Imperfect
An Evening of Creativity, Wellbeing & Happiness
Because your nervous system called and said it would like a night off.
When was the last time you became so absorbed in something that you completely lost track of time?
No notifications. No to-do lists. No responsibilities competing for your attention.
Just you, fully immersed in the moment.
Join Penney Murphy for a unique wellbeing experience that combines creativity, connection, and one of the most powerful contributors to happiness and wellbeing: Flow.
This isn’t your typical paint night. It’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, quiet the noise, and discover why creativity, play, and presence are essential ingredients in a happy, fulfilling life.
Here’s what we’re doing
We’ll begin the evening with connection, conversation, and a delicious charcuterie spread before exploring one of the most fascinating discoveries in positive psychology: the Flow State.
You’ll learn why some of our happiest moments happen when we’re completely engaged in an activity, fully present, and immersed in what we’re doing.
Through a combination of practical teaching, guided reflection, and gentle mindfulness exercises, you’ll discover how creativity supports wellbeing, reduces stress, and helps us reconnect with ourselves.
Then it’s time to paint.
Using a beautiful paint kit inspired by Alberta’s peaceful forest trails, mountains, and winding rivers, you’ll create your own landscape painting while experiencing the calming, restorative benefits of creativity in action.
No artistic experience required.
This evening is about enjoying the process, not creating perfection.
Along the way, we’ll explore the five elements of flourishing and wellbeing, helping you identify simple ways to bring more happiness, meaning, engagement, connection, and accomplishment into everyday life.
What you’ll walk away with
✔ Your completed Nature’s Walkway painting to proudly display at home
✔ A deeper understanding of Flow and why it plays such an important role in happiness and wellbeing
✔ Practical strategies for creating more joy, creativity, and engagement in your everyday life
✔ A greater appreciation for the importance of play, creativity, and self-care
✔ Reflection exercises and wellbeing insights you can continue using long after the workshop
✔ A beautiful evening spent slowing down, reconnecting, and doing something just for you
✔ Champagne, charcuterie, and a special take-home gift
Most importantly, you’ll leave feeling calmer, lighter, more present, and more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

It’s an intimate evening designed to help you slow down, breathe a little deeper, reconnect with yourself, and experience the kind of joy that often gets lost in the busyness of everyday life.
For one evening, there will be no deadlines to meet, no emails to answer, and no one needing anything from you.
Just a paintbrush in your hand, good company around the table, and permission to be perfectly imperfect.

Perfectly Imperfect!
