STRESS MANAGEMENT TIP #10  – Use the Good Dishes

Because we aren’t able to go out for a nice meal right now…do what you can to make your meals at home something special! All food tastes better on a fancy plate, so pull out the good dishes.

If you can…support our locally owned restaurants and order take out or delivery. Remove the food from the packaging and put it on your good dishes. It doesn’t have to be fancy food…Kraft Dinner will taste mighty fine in a beautiful bowl. Have that glass of wine in your best wine glass, or your favorite cocktail in that heavy crystal glass that has been tucked away in the china cabinet.

Have dinner at the table instead of in front of the TV. Set the table, add candles or flowers, colorful napkins. And eat together. The kids will get a big kick out it. Make a batch of Shirley Temples for your kids so they can feel special!

If you live alone…why not connect with a friend or family member on FaceTime and share your meal together.

In this stressful and uncertain times, we need to find reasons to celebrate. It’s good for our Mental Health!
